The EAGLE FLYER soars again! Essex Steam Train will operate the 2nd Annual Eagle Flyer - President's Weekend, February 13 & 14. Joining us on board will be the Connecticut DEP Bald Eagle Study Group and Master Wildlife Conservationists. These naturalists will be sharing information about our national symbol, the Bald Eagle, and its glorious migration south to the Connecticut River Valley from December to March. Bring binoculars . . . this is truly a wondrous natural event for ALL to share and enjoy! Coffee, Tea, Hot Cocoa and Snacks served on board.
Tickets may be purchased in advance by calling 860-767-0103. The 2 ½ hour eco-excursion departs from Essex Station and will make local station stops in Deep River, Chester, Eagle Landing State Park and Haddam. |

FREE . . . "East Haddam Connection" Shuttle
on Saturday, February 13th
On Saturday, February 13, only . . . ride the 11:00 am Eagle Flyer to Goodspeed Yard, Haddam (arrives at 12:05pm), and hop a FREE Shuttle to East Haddam Village. The Shuttle departs Goodspeed Yard at 12:15pm, transporting passengers across the Swing Bridge into East Haddam to enjoy the quaint restaurants and shops . . . or more eagle viewing from the beautiful, river shoreline. The "East Haddam Connection" Shuttle will pick up passengers at 3:00pm at the Town Office parking lot, across from Goodspeed Opera House, for the return ride across the Connecticut River to Goodspeed Yard. Passengers ultimately catch the 3:30pm Eagle Flyer back to Essex Station.
