Monday August 14, 2017: Don Bryant
Raised in the bosom of the church, Bluff City, Tennessee native Don Bryant has enjoyed success as song writer, performing for Willie Mitchell among others. He has written songs for Ann Peebles, Solomon Burke, Albert King, Etta James and others. He has also done guest appearances with Memphis retro R&B band the Bo-Keys

Performing locally as well as around the Northeast since 1996, their music is a lively mix of traditional bluegrass, old-time, early country, gospel and folk songs as well as original pieces reflecting their roots in contemporary music with a local flavor.

The Dizzy River Band play a broad eclectic mix of originals and covers. With guitar, bass, drums and beautiful harmonies, Dizzy River draws liberally from music spanning decades, from all across the musical spectrum, turning it into something uniquely their own: pure, sweet, joyful.
Monday August 7, 2017: Neal and the Vipers
You can feel the chemistry as Neal and the Vipers play original hit songs from their multiple CD’s as well as covering the classics. Neal and the Vipers play American Roots Music encompassing blues, rock & roll, rockability and surf. They have shared the stage with music legends such as B.B King, Roy Buchanan, John Lee Hooker, Bonnie Raitt, Albert Collins, Greg Allman, Jimmy Vaughan, Willie Dixon, Johnny Copeland and Robert Plant.
The Concert Express originates at Essex Station and will make local stops along the train line at Deep River Station, Chester Station and Hadlyme Station to pick up passengers en-route to Eagle Landing State Park in Haddam, CT. We will even stop along the route to pick up our neighbors!
Complimentary shuttle bus service will transport you from Eagle Landing Station Park across the Haddam Swing Bridge to the outside concert site. At the concert’s conclusion, the shuttle bus will return you to Eagle Landing State Park to re-board the train for your return trip to your departure point.

Tickets available for purchase at Essex Station on day of excursion only from 4 – 5 pm, or on board train for Deep River, Chester and Hadlyme Station passengers. No advance tickets for this excursion.
- Bring foldable lawn chairs and blankets, food and beverages are permitted.
- Food and drink available for purchase at Gelston House located next to Goodspeed Lawn. Music on the River website provides additional information.
- Train pulled by vintage diesel locomotive
- In case of inclement weather, concert moves to Nathan Hale Ray High School, and Concert Express train will not operate.
- No alcohol consumption allowed on train, must remain stowed.
