Fun in Numbers!

The Essex Clipper Dinner Train, featured in the “Memorable Meals” section of USA Today,  is available for groups, private parties and chartered events! Whether it’s a family gathering, rehearsal dinner, wedding or corporate function, the rhythm of the rails and our attentive staff transport you back to the day when rail travel was king and “dinner in the diner” was a delicious special occasion.

On regularly scheduled excursions, the Essex Clipper Dinner Train can provide semi-private dining areas for groups of various sizes.

On non-scheduled operating days and upon availability on operating days, the Essex Clipper Dinner Train can be chartered for private events. Enjoy having the entire train just for you!

Essex Clipper Dinner Train

  • 2.5-hour excursion on dining cars through the lower Connecticut River Valley
  • 4-course meal
  • $82.50 per person, tax and meal service gratuity included
  • Operating day charter is available only if booked before individual reservations have been made

  • Entrees must be pre-selected by each guest a minimum of 7 days in advance
