Winter Dinner Train March 1 -29, 2025
- Prime Rib w/ a red wine au jus, mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables
- Mushroom Asiago Chicken w/ mashed potatoes,seasonal vegetables and fresh herbs
- Cuban Style Halibut w/ tomatoes, capers and olive over jasmine rice
- Mushroom Ravioli w/ a brandy cream sauce
All Entrees include Table Appetizer, Caesar Salad, Dessert, Coffee and Water
Chocolate & Wine Dinner Train April 5, 2025
- Filet Mignon w/ béarnaise
- Chicken Champignon
- Seared Scallop Scampi over risotto
- Mediterranean spinach and artichoke fettuccine

Spring & Summer Dinner Train May 10 – August 31, 2025
- Prime Rib w/ a red wine au jus, twice baked potato and seasonal vegetables
- Rosemary Half Chicken w/ rosemary, garlic and lemon, fingerling potatoes and seasonal vegetables
- Honey Pecan Salmon w/ confetti rice pilaf and seasonal vegetables
- Pasta Primavera w/ seasonal vegetables and fettuccine in a white wine, garlic and parmesan butter sauce

Fall Dinner Train September 6 – October 26, 2025
- Prime Rib w/ a red wine au jus, root vegetable puree and roasted brussel sprouts
- Autumn Chicken w/ Cranberry-Apple Compote topped with puff pastry & a chevre cream and seasonal vegetables
- Baked Stuffed Flounder w/ crab stuffing topped w/ a tarragon lobster veloute sauce, rice pilaf and seasonal vegetables
- Zucchini Boat Pomodoro filled w/ seasonal vegetables and topped w/ mozzarella & tomato sauce served over polenta

Rules of the Rails
The Essex Clipper $119.99 (March – August) / $129.99 (September – October) per-person fare includes a 21/2-hour train ride, 4-course
meal with coffee/tea service,tax, and meal service gratuity. Full cash bar service is available onboard. ** Special Excursions may be a higher fare **
- Train Boarding Essex Station: 30 minutes prior to departure time
- Train Departure from Essex Station: On Time (Trains can not hold for late arriving guests; trains do depart on schedule)
- Beverages and Beverage Service Gratuity are not included in $119.99 / $129.99 fare
- For safety reasons aboard the moving train and to ensure a relaxing ride for all patrons, the Essex Clipper Dinner Train is limited to passengers age 10 and older. No infants please. All guests must sit in the dining chairs on board the train.
- Advance reservations and payment required.
- Reservations are non-refundable, but fully transferable with 48-hours notice.
- Meal changes can not be honored within 48 hours of departure. Due to the limited kitchen space and provisions available on the train, no special menu alterations can be accommodated
- No alcoholic beverages may be brought aboard the train due to our liquor license
- The Valley Railroad reserves the right to alter equipment, schedule and menu when necessary.
